Photographing food

This is a amazing content to photograph: Food.
Food looks yummy, the colors are beautiful. Also you can imagine the good smells.

Elements

I like to increase with some elements like flowers, books, magazines, parts of my home decoration and with fabric and tea towels.
In my opinion this elements can create some comfort feelings and empathy when we see the picture.

Background

I like to use different backgrounds and I make this easily using parts of fabrics, blankets, papers  and everything else my imagination send me:

Light

Another tip and that makes a big difference in photography is the light that you use.
Natural Light or Flash light.
Below I show you some of my photos that were taken under natural light:
And here three pictures taken by flash:

I prefer to use natural light, so I only use the flash when there is not enough natural light.
When you use flash you should manage the shadows.

 Every Mind Creates Different

Even so, I love to photograph food, drinks, fruits ... more and more I try to make a different and more creative photo.
You can do all you have in your mind and the results always will be different according each kind of creativity.
You can use many elements that you have in your kitchen, backyard or even in your closet!
Have you ever imagined that? How about a scarf as a background? I encourage you to try.

I hope you enjoyed my post.

Craft and Photography

Hello people,

April just started so I want to share some news about last month.
I started to use my camera to photograph everything I found pretty, curious, new or delicious.
As I revewed my pictures I realized how many things I did that in the first moment I had NO IDEA.
I was so exciting about how many times I visited new parks trying to photograph birds, flowers, nature beauty, lakes.

I visited many restaurants, cafeterias and tea rooms to have lunch with my friends, to share information and ideas about blogging and Instagram. We took pictures of each other, our food and had lots of coffee and inspiration too.

My husband took pictures of me and my picture was posted on the Boardwalks Instagram a local community here in Cypress, TX, a place where we like to go on weekends. Its an amazing place to have coffee at The Land Of Thousand Hills cafeteria, walking around the lake and enjoy live music.

Yes, the gift that my husband gave me, the camera, has kept me busy and motivated.

CRAFTING
When I'm not out taking pictures, I stayed at home working on my sewing skills by making things. I love fabrics, ribbons, buttons and so on.

My first project was a bag for my dog Lucky. Nothing better than a bag to have treats, ball, leash, on time and I like to have my hands free to play with him at the park.
So I bougth a fabric (at Jo-Ann fabric and craft stores) .
Find this cute dog theme, a black string, a white thread and a red button then I drew my own pattern, yes, seriously ha ha.

I have two little friends that were celebrating their birthday. For the first one I sewed a gift bag for the Matrioskas dolls that my husband bougth on Amazon.com:

For my other little friend I sewed from the same fabric a birthday card with her initial letter L:

Pompoms for a Unicorn bracelet
Last week a friend of mine requested me to help her for make gifts for her daughter's birthday.
The gift was a Unicorn bracelet that I only made the pompoms, because my mother taugh me how.
Its very simple and easy to do. You can find in videos on YOUTUBE on the 5 Minutes Craft Channel.

Napkin Rings
The other craft that I would like to share with you is the napkins rings, they are easy to make and very useful, I bougth the materials at the Dollar Tree Store.

For better results wrapp the rings with ribbon

I still have many sewing projects to do.
Im really exciting about to start a big project and open a Etsy Store online.

I hope you enjoyed my post.
